Regardless of its magnitude, candidiasis can cause numerous disturbances. Its sufferers often manifest congestion of their livers and kidneys, two organs essential for removing wastes and toxins from the body.
Since the liver is vital for metabolism (chemical functioning), liver problems cause numerous chemical disturbances. In addition, the liver assists the immune system, so liver problems impair immunity.
Candidiasis can directly or indirectly cause chemical disturbances involving the brain and nervous system. Over time, one or more major glands may become disturbed or damaged, precipitating even more trouble. Therefore, the adverse consequences of candidiasis occur directly and indirectly.
With respect to its symptoms and illness, candidiasis affects the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, cardiovascular system, skin, joints and muscles, brain and nervous system, endocrine system, genitourinary tract, and immune system. It can cause perpetual fatigue, and the development of allergies is common. Yet, this does not only apply to adults; children can easily be affected. So, candidiasis should be suspected as being the underlying cause or participating in the existence of any chronic, recurring, or frequent medical malady.
So, rather than being a simple “yes, you have it” or “no, you don’t” illness, candidiasis is a complex, multi-systemic condition. Its disturbances depend on the species and strains (variants) of disease-causing yeast that are present and the extent of their colonization. Simply put, it is an infection with allergic consequences and abundant inflammation. The contributions of other infectious invaders (harmful parasites, bacteria, molds, and/or viruses) escalates the disarray.
This is why most candidiasis sufferers require a comprehensive holistic-integrative medical approach to diagnosis and treatment to achieve the greatest improvements in their health and well-being.
